Hey everyone! I hope the new year have been doing great for all of you lovely people so far! I know I haven't been updating here as frequent as before but reassured, I'll be posting at least once a week! Today I'm back here to another recipe with you guys! A healthier option for snacking, Tortilla Chips with Salsa Sauce. If you have been reading my past posts, you would have already know that I'm trying to change my lifestyle, going healthier, eating healthier.
Click on the jump to get my recipe for my Salsa Sauce!
So I decided to share my homemade salsa sauce with you guys! (Yay!)
Alright, let's get started!
First up, tools and ingredients that you're going to need for your Salsa Sauce!
- Blender
- Pepper and Salt (To taste)
- 1 can of Diced Tomatoes
- Approximately 3 slices of Jalapenos (Use marinaded green chilli to substitute otherwise)
- A handful of Parsley leaves
- A handful of chopped Onion
- 1 clove of Garlic
- 1 Lemon
Step 1: Chop up your Garlic, Onion and Jalapenos. Remove the seed from Jalapenos and chop them up! (Note: Do not need to be chopped up into tiny pieces as the blender will do the job for you!)
Step 2: Squeeze out the lemon juice from the lemon
Step 3: Place all your ingredients into the blender! Blend away!
Step 4: Pour your Salsa Sauce and serve with Tortilla Chips!
Extra Step: To keep your extra Salsa Sauce, pour them into a air-tight container and refrigerate it!
Oh-so-yummy! I feel like eating them right now even though I've already eaten some earlier this afternoon! Alternatively, you can make your own Tortilla Chips using Whole-grain Tortilla Wrap, place them in the oven and bake till crispy!
